Position Description

Acts as a liaison between the Engineering Department and Manufacturing. Supports projects by providing preventative maintenance on product design on machines to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions. Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools. Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance. May instruct workers in electronic theory. May supervise workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance. Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements. Must have CADD experience and be able to update drawings as per specifications.


1. Plans, examines, analyzes, and evaluates all equipment in the Seaga line
2. Prepares reports and records for management review
3. Ensures operational efficiency and quality control
4. Gives work directives, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure completion of quality issues
5. Interprets and disseminates critical to quality objectives
6. Works under direct supervision performing moderately to complex technical work utilizing instructions, and drawings from computer systems and schematics

Employment Standards

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

1. Possession of an associate’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university; and/or
2. Five or more years of progressively responsible engineering experience with manufacturing background
